Product Description
Hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose is a white to off-white cellulose ether that is hot and cold water soluble, but have limited organic solubilities. It has excellent water retention, film-forming, salt tolerance, and thickening functions. possesses excellent color compatibility, making it the ideal additive for latex paint applications.
Hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose provides many of the same benefits as other cellulose ether derivatives, such as the ability to efficiently thicken and provide water retention, are highly effective additives used to improve the quality and processing characteristics of building materials such as plasters and renders, mortars, tile adhesives, joint compounds and emulsion paints.
